چکیده
Objectives: This study aims to determine the frequency of KRAS mutations in patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC) Hatay province, and relationship this mutation some pathological clinical parameters guide diagnosis treatment planning patients. Methods: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded, histologically confirmed samples were used assessment mutation. Sections taken from archive tissue each case. Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) system was identify codons 12 13 (exon 2) RAS gene. Mutations GLY12ALA (G12A), GLY12ASP (G12D), GLY12ARG (G12R), GLY12CYS (G12C), GLY12SER (G12S), GLY12VAL (G12V), GLY13ASP (G13D) performed. Results: The rate 2% only one substitution, G12D, detected. In case, tumor located small curvature. Since number cases low, statistical comparison could not be made between clinicopathological factors. A significant difference found differentiation WHO-2010 typing primary stage. Conclusions: We incidence 2%. also estimate that G12D may associated GAC site surgical margin. Although alone is a prognostic or predictive marker, subtype-specific analysis provide data affect diagnosis, management disease

Objective(s): KRAS proto-oncogene mutation can be considered a diagnostic factor for treating various malignancies. Helicobacter pylori infection, a risk factor for stomach cancer, may cause DNA damage and genetic changes. The aim of the current study was to assess the association of gastric cancer and KRAS mutation, demographic factors, and H. pylori infection.<...

BACKGROUND Although epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), v-Ki-ras2 Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene (KRAS), and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were thought to be mutually exclusive, some tumors harbor concomitant mutations. Discovering a driver mutation on the basis of morphologic features and therapeutic responses with mutation analysis c...
متن کاملClinicopathologic Significance of Gastric and Intestinal Phenotypic Marker Expression in Gastric Carcinomas
BACKGROUND It is well known that both gastric and intestinal phenotypic cell markers are expressed in gastric cancers. This study was aimed at investigating the correlation between gastric and intestinal phenotypic marker expression patterns of tumors and the clinicopathologic characteristics of gastric carcinomas. METHODS We evaluated phenotypic marker expression by immunohistochemical stain...
